We are happy to arrange dive/snorkel/fishing or eco tours to the mainland for our guests. We work with reputable licensed operators who consistently perform to our guest’s satisfaction. The dive and tour boats collect and return our guests to/from our private pier. For your convenience we arrange billing to your room account for easy payment upon check out.
Below is a list of some Island and Inland Tours. If there is something you would like to do and don’t see it on the list, please inquire at the Front Desk and we will be happy to assist you. We can custom create some very cool tours and private charters can be arranged.
CAYE CAULKER – CATAMARAN
On this full day tour you will sail on a catamaran to our charming sister island Caye Caulker with a stop along the way to snorkel the famous Hol Chan Marine Reserve and the appropriately named “Shark Ray Alley”. Once in Caye Caulker you’ll have time to enjoy lunch, shopping, and exploring. Check out the Sports Bar, great draft beer! Just look for the Canadian flag out front and say hi to T.V Tom, Lloyd and Romy. No pressure on the return trip, you can relax, nap or make it a booze cruise. A full day of sun and fun!

SAIL/SNORKEL/BEACH BBQ – CATAMARAN or SPEED BOAT
Making your way to the North end of Ambergris Caye your morning is spent relaxing and sight seeing with the possible chance to be placed in the “hot seat” to fish for lunch. You will stop to snorkel after which you will enjoy a beach or onboard BBQ (don’t worry your guide has been to the fish market in the morning in case you didn’t catch lunch). Take some money with you as you may stop for a drink at one of the funky bars up North. On the way back enjoy another snorkel stop or relax on board reading a book, napping or just spacing out listening to tunes. A truly laid back day with no pressure. Not fancy, a real island experience.

SUNSET SAIL
Join the crew for a 2 hour sail south to witness one of mother natures most amazing sights. A sunset over the Caribbean is not to be missed.

BACALAR CHICO
Make your way through “The Cut” passing through mangroves and along the back side of the island to the North end of Ambergris Caye. Cruise through the Mayan channel between Mexico and Belize, visit Bacalar Chico park and snorkel with abundant sea life in pristine reefs. Top off this full day with a delicious BBQ lunch.

LAMANAI JUNGLE RIVER ADVENTURE BY BOAT
Begin your day with a continental breakfast as your boat takes you around the island over to mainland Belize and up the Old Northern River. Your first stop will be the village of Bomba, famous for wood carvings, where your bus awaits to transport you over land to the New River. Here you board a boat for a leisurely ride along the river spotting flora and fauna as you make your way towards Lamanai (Submerged Crocodile). You may encounter a rich variety of bird life and animals indigenous to the area such as river otters, turtles, crocodiles and monkeys. Once at Lamanai a delightful picnic of local fare will be served. Then it’s time to explore the ancient Maya temples that majestically perch on the waters’ edge. The day ends as you make your way back to the island of San Pedro. A “beyond ordinary” experience.

LAMANAI JUNGLE RIVER ADVENTURE BY PLANE
Depart Xanadu for your 8am flight. Buckle-up for adventure and fun. Twenty minutes after departing San Pedro you will land at Tower Hill airstrip in the Orange Walk district where a taxi will be waiting for your 10 minute drive to the New River. Climb aboard for a winding boat ride through the mangroves viewing sea birds, bats, flowers, turtles and maybe crocodiles along the way. Once docked at the New River Lagoon, you have arrived at Lamanai located on a 950 acre reserve. Walk through lush jungle, learn about bush medicine and explore impressive monuments built in 100BC. If you dare, hike up 33 meters to the top of El Castillo Temple and take in the view. Your tour ends with a visit to the museum and a tasty lunch. Return to San Pedro on time for happy hour. If it’s within your budget, this is a great way to do Lamanai.

ALTUN HA AND JUNGLE SPA
Begin your day with a boat ride to the mainland, and then along a jungle river to the village of Bomba known for beautiful Zericote wood carvings. On to the site of Altun Ha where you will enjoy a guided tour and perhaps climb to the top of a well preserved temple for an amazing view. After your tour it is time to relax. Enjoy the pool, lunch and Spa at Belize’s premier Spa Resort, Maruba. Everything from massages to mud treatments to Botox and more. An educational and relaxing experience all in one!

CAVE TUBING AND BELIZE ZOO BY BOAT
This day begins as you make your way towards the mainland and up the Old Belize River. Winding your way through this river, you may encounter indigenous animals such as crocodiles, iguanas and maybe even howler monkeys. Once at Burrell Boom, you will board a van that will take you to Jaguar Paw. Here your tour guide will take you on a 30 minute light hike through the jungle up to the Caves. Then it is time to put on your headlamps and splash into the cool water in your inner tube. You will then float your way through the cave systems where the Maya once worshipped. Once back at Jaguar Paw, you can change into dry clothes and enjoy a delightful lunch. Next it’s onto the Belize Zoo. After the Zoo you’re back to the boat to return to San Pedro.

CAVE TUBING AND AERIAL ZIP LINE
Begin your day with a short flight to the mainland where you will be met by your guide and taken to the Jaguar Paw Jungle Lodge. Here your tour guide will take you on a 30 minute light hike through the jungle up to the Caves. Then it is time to put on your headlamps and splash into the cool water in your inner tube to float your way through the cave system where the Maya once worshipped. Once back at Jaguar Paw, you can change into dry clothes and enjoy a delicious lunch. Next it’s time to “fly” through and over the jungle canopy on a series of cables attached to 8 platforms. Not for the faint at heart yet not too scary either. In fact, it is just right! Ask about the optional add on of the “Jungle Tumble” (Zorbing) - A totally bizarre and fun adventure experience.

CAVE TUBING AND XUNANTUNICH PRIVATE TOUR
Leave Xanadu in a 6:30am or 7:30am taxi to the San Pedro Airstrip. Here you will board your 15 minute scenic flight to the mainland. Upon arrival to the mainland you will be met by your personal guide for the day. Make your way to the Cayo district where you will visit the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich located on the banks of the Mopan River. Xunantunich is one of the largest Mayan Cities and from the top of the pyramid you can see all the way into Guatemala. After your tour of Xunauntich enjoy lunch and souvenir shopping before moving on to the second part your day, Cave Tubing! Explore the cathedral-like supernatural world beneath the earth’s surface and float along through the cave system of Belize. A truly refreshing and fun way to end your day! Private guide, a/c vehicle – cushy, cushy!

- We can assist you with booking tours between the hours of 8am – 5:30pm daily.
- Rates are in USD and may not include 10% government sales tax
- Rates do not include gratuities for guides.
- Additional park fees may be required. Inquire at Front Desk.
- There may be limited availability for some tours so please check with Front Desk early if there is a specific tour you have a strong desire to do.
- Most tour operators have a cancellation policy of no later than 12pm the day prior to the tour.
- If a tour is cancelled by the operator due to inclement weather, you will not be charged, just return your voucher to the Front Desk and we will remove the charges from your account.
